~The Simple Woman's Daybook~
FOR TODAY...October 12th
Outside my window... another rainy day to stay cozied up inside
I am thinking... about the Ladies Meeting I'm co-hosting tomorrow
I am thankful for... my many helpers (my kiddos) that help me get so many things done throughout my day
I am wearing... a tan nursing dress with socks and my wool slippers
I am remembering... my family so far away ~ my Dad and his recent birthday
I am going... to clean my bathroom and change my sheets today
I am reading...a book about the Amish
I am hoping... to finish the book of Isaiah this week
On my mind...I'm thankful this week will be much more relaxed. Last week was quite busy.
From the learning rooms... trying to get caught up from our busy week
Noticing that...my kids are growing up so quickly. My littlest love will be 2 next month.
Pondering these words... "What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow." Martin Luther
From the kitchen...Roast chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and veggies
Around the house...We need to get the yard ready for winter and I need to finish going through the bins in the garage
One of my favorite things~ all of my dear children at home. I'm realizing that as my children get older these days where we are all together is growing shorter. One day they will be married and have their own families. I want to enjoy the days we do have. I love this time in my life.
From my picture journal...
